Our activities roughly fall into three categories. Check out the calendar to see what's coming up.
This includes games evenings, formal halls, picnics, pizza & film nights, table football tournaments...
There are seminars by graduate students aimed at graduates or undergraduates, either weekly series or whole conferences, and workshops in interesting locations. You can either give talks in existing series or start organising your own small return conference.
The Part III course is unique, it brings together huge numbers of fantastic young mathematicians from all over the world. Together with Marj Batchelor, CUGMS members run several events which are great fun to get involved with and always need more helpers.
Anyone can suggest and organise future events and we can help with time and money. This page gives a few guidelines and ideas. It also has forms for you to claim your money back if you spent something for the CUGMS, and to get paid if you did a paid job for them.
Look at our past events to see what we have been up to and who you can ask for help if you want to run something. We try to update these pages regularly.
