What is CUGMS?

The Cambridge University Graduate Mathematics Society (CUGMS) was founded in October 2006 to promote interaction, both social and academic, between PhD students studying mathematics. All current Cambridge maths PhD and Part III students are members.

What we do

Anything our members want! We rely on your participation and good ideas to keep CUGMS fun and interesting. We do have some funding from the departments, so get in touch if you want to organise something new.

Who organises things

The CUGMS is run by a committee of five (plus a webmaster). There are, of course, many more people who organise the specific events! If you would like to get involved, please see our jobs page (requires log in using the left sidebar).

Website

As well as holding events, we exist to provide information and help to CUGMS members and Part III students during and after their time at the CMS. See this page for more information on how to use the site, and getting a web account.

Constitution

Our current constitution is from 2015. (Old versions: 2006, 2007, 2011, 2013.)
